1. How do I create an account with Diamond Auto?

There are a couple ways to register on our website. One way is by clicking ‘Not a member?’ at the top right side corner of each page or by going to the ‘Membership’ page and clicking ‘Register’. Once you have completed all the registration steps and have entered all of your information, the system will send you a confirmation email for you to activate your account.



2. How do I change/reset my password?

If you have forgot your password click the ‘Forgot your password’ link at the top right hand corner the page. This will bring you to a page that asks for the username/email address you used to register your account (NOTE: If your account was registered for you, you may have a username, and not an email.  Call the Diamond Auto office if you are unsure). Once you enter your username/email address and click "Submit" a new password will be sent to your email account. To change your password to something you will remember, log into your Diamond Auto account and click ‘Change Password’. You will be asked to enter your current password, the new password you want to change it to, and to confirm the new password.



3. How do I place a bid on a vehicle?

Once you have found a vehicle on the Search page you want to place a bid on, go to the vehicle's profile page. Under the vehicle's main image you will see a field called ‘Bid Amount’. Enter the amount you would like to bid and click ‘Place Bid’.  Your current bid on that vehicle will now show for future reference.



4. Why can’t I view large versions of a vehicles thumbnail images?

This is a feature that is only available to Premium Members. Basic members can upgrade their accounts through the My Account page.



5. How do I renew my account?

You will not be able to renew your account until it has expired.  In order to renew an expired account, login with your email and password and click on ‘My Account’ to be forwarded to the ‘Renew Account’ page.



6. Is there a way I can be notified when a specific vehicle is up for auction?

Yes, Premium Members can use the ‘Vehicle Watch’ feature. With this feature you can select and save different search parameters that you are looking for. As soon as Diamond Auto enters a vehicle into an auction that matches your search parameters you will be notified by email automatically.



7. How can I control my account's email settings?

Within your account is a link called ‘Email Settings’. On this page you can select which types of email alerts you want the system to send you.



8. How do I change my account information?

Within your account is a link called ‘Edit Account Info’. On this page you can edit all of your Member Information as well as your Company Information.  Note that your email address cannot be edited.  If you need a change of email address, please call a Diamond Auto office.



9. If I’m a winning bidder how long do I have until I need to pay for the vehicle?

Once the auction has ended and you have placed the winning bid on a vehicle you have 3 days to pay for it and pick it up from the Diamond Auto yard before storage fees apply.



10. How do I know if I’m the highest bidder?

There is no way of knowing whether or not you are the highest bidder until the auction is over.



11. Can I pay for a vehicle online?

Yes, our new system allows members to pay for vehicles online. In your account is a section called ‘Current Bids’. Any vehicle you are the winning bidder of will have a ‘Pay This’ link next to it. Click on this link to be taken to our online payment system.

13. What is the difference between a Basic and Premium Membership?

A Basic membership gives a member the ability to place bids on vehicles with no other extra functionality. A Premium membership has the following additional functionality:

  • Vehicle Watch: Receive a notification when a specific vehicle enters the auction.
  • Priority: In the case of a tie, premium members win the bid.
  • Bid History: View the bid history of each car you have bid on.
  • Assistance: Receive help with loading your vehicle if required.
  • Towing: Receive towing at a discounted rate.
  • Images: View high res versions of all a vehicle images.


14. Is there any way I can view my Bid and Purchase History?

Yes, one of the benefits of having a Premium Member account is the ‘Bid History’ and Purchase History’ features. With these features you can view every bid you have ever placed on a vehicle as well as every vehicle you have ever purchased.
